A finished clay sculpture |
A plaster mold is made from
the finished clay head. When the mold is ready the clay head is taken
out and the plaster mold is allowed to dry. |
After the drying process is over, the
mold is ready for the porcelain slip to be poured. |
After firing, painting
the porcelain is one of the fun phases. This gives the doll
life. |
Using photographs, I sculpt the head for
a new doll. |
There is a waiting period before the
porcelain can be fired, meanwhile the porcelain is worked on and
cleaned. |
